SAIC is seeking a qualified and experienced **Black Hawk Instructor Pilot - Latvia** to provide flight instruction and simulation training for the Black Hawk Aircrew Trainer ( BAT ) in **Lielvārde, Latvia.**
NOTE: This position is an Instructor Operator role for UH-60M Simulator
**Responsibilities:**
+ Conduct flight and simulator instruction in accordance with approved syllabi, Army regulations (AR 95-1, TC 3-04.11), and FAA/DoD guidelines.
+ Deliver classroom and mission planning instruction in topics such as systems, emergency procedures, NVG operations, tactical flight, and mission execution.
+ Evaluate pilot proficiency and provide performance assessments and remediation as needed.
+ Evaluate pilot proficiency in instrument flight and be able to conduct Instrument Flight Evaluations.
+ Maintain training records, lesson plans, and instructional materials in compliance with company and government standards.
+ Support development and updating of standard operating procedures (SOPs), risk assessments, and safety briefings.
+ Provide input on curriculum development and instructional improvements.
+ Participate in flight evaluations and readiness-level (RL) progression training.
**Qualifications**
**Required Education:**
+ Bachelor's Degree and nine (9) years of experience; four (4) years of experience in lieu of degree.
**Required Clearance:**
+ Must possess and be able to maintain an active secret clearance (US Citizenship).
**Required Qualifications:**
+ U.S. Army-qualified UH-60M Instructor Pilot (IP) with documented completion of an approved Instructor Pilot Course as well as Instrument Evaluators Course.
+ Extensive flight experience, strong instructional skills, and a deep understanding of aircrew training standards as prescribed by U.S. Army Aviation doctrine.
+ Minimum of 1,000 flight hours in rotary-wing aircraft, including at least 300 hours in the UH-60M, 100 hours as an Instructor Pilot as well as 100 NVG hours.
+ Knowledge of current U.S. Army aviation training doctrine and procedures.
+ Strong verbal and written communication skills.
+ Proficient in Microsoft Office and aviation-related digital systems.
**Desired Qualifications:**
+ Previous experience as a contractor or government civilian IP.
+ Experience with aircrew training programs such as ARMS, DTMS, or TAMIS.
+ Combat experience desired but not required. (Use of ASE and understanding combat maneuvers and operations would be beneficial).
+ Familiar with flight operations in Europe ex. Jeppesen Charts.
+ NVG Instructor Pilot (NVG IP) or Maintenance Test Pilot (MTP) rating.
+ Experience operating the AVCATT, Non-Rated Crew Member Trainer (NCMRT), or other training systems.

**MEANINGFUL WORK AND PERSONAL IMPACT**
As an Information Security Analyst Principal, the work you'll do at GDIT will be impactful to the mission of U.S. Army Europe in Hohenfels Germany . You will play a crucial role in supplying critical mission command support to the U.S. Army mission.
+ Interact daily with GDIT project technical teams and remote Government program security manager, and represent the project with the agency ISSM and other Government information security teams.
+ Develop CIPs, STPs, SSPs and POA&Ms
+ Conduct risk and vulnerability assessment at the network, system and application level.
+ Configure, run and review Nessus scans and report on vulnerabilities
+ Configure and review reports from security assessment tools and technologies including but not limited to SPLUNK and E-policy Orchestrator (HBSS).
+ Perform STIG evaluations and assessments and provide input for corrective measures.
+ Perform regular security audits and reviews of systems, networks and applications, identifying vulnerabilities and non-compliance issues needing remediation.
+ Collaborate, develop and execute incident response plans with security teams within the organization.
+ Assist with maintaining security documentation including security plans, policies and procedures in accordance with government requirements.
+ Assist ISSM in the management and processing of user accounts both in support of standard JMRC operations and in support of exercise rotations.
+ Manage IA accreditation process, coordinating with stakeholders to ensure that IA reviews are successful.
+ Implement security controls and formulate operational risk mitigations along with assisting in security awareness programs.
+ Research, evaluate and recommend new security tools, techniques, and technologies.
+ Understand relevant Federal policies and regulations for PKI, networking, IT systems, virtualization, and cloud.
+ Demonstrate initiative, judgement, responsiveness, and excellent communications skills both written and verbal.

The likely salary range for this position is $105,622 - $138,000. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range. Total compensation for international positions varies by tax, social security, and immigration statuses, as well as location. Generally, an international assignment may include allowances, premium uplifts, and/or relocation or transportation benefits, above base salary range noted.

+ Perform the full range of military tactical aircraft maintenance with a primary expertise as a **LUH-72** mechanic, repair functions including assembly and modification on a variety of Army and other DoD cross-service aircraft, their major assemblies, sub-assemblies, components, and related systems.
+ Install, connect, and adjust complete systems such as fuel, heat, lubrication, hydraulic, engine, and transmission: install and align fuselage parts; balance, align, and install tail rotor assemblies; rig complete flight control systems.
+ Incorporate authorized modifications and changes.
+ Make operational checks of hydraulic and fuel systems using external power sources and powered ground equipment.
+ Inspect and troubleshoot to determine cause of malfunctions; disassemble to point of trouble; adjust, repair, realign or replace defective component or assembly.
+ Must be able to properly use a variety of common hand tools and measuring devices such as gauges torque wrenches and scales and test, measurement and diagnostic equipment related to specific aircraft models.
+ Must be able to determine when faulty systems or assemblies can be corrected through repair of replacement of new parts and the nature and extent of repair required.
+ Must have skill in reading, applying and interpreting technical data.
+ Direct the work of lower-graded mechanics for complete assembly, modification and checkout of the entire aircraft and coordinate with related trades such as general mechanics and sheet metal to assure proper sequence of the complete aircraft assembly process.
+ Prepare forms and records related to aircraft maintenance.
+ Perform additions duties as required.
**Minimum Requirements**
+ High School Graduate or equivalent is required.
+ **Airbus Lakota LUH-72 / EC-145** School Training is preferred.
+ Must have Two (2) years aviation maintenance experience, Three (3) years rotary wing/helicopter aircraft hands-on mechanic experience, and **Two (2) years** on the assigned MDS Airbus Lakota **(LUH-72)** is Required.
+ All experience must be within the Five (5) most recent years.
+ License: Possess a valid FAA A&P license.
+ Tools: Candidate must provide own tools. Please contact the recruiting regarding the required Tool list.
+ Must be able to obtain and maintain a T1/CAC NACI US Government Clearance. Note: **US Citizenship** is required to obtain a T1/CAC NACI Clearance.
+ Interim NACI approval required for deployment.

**Physical Requirements/Working Environment**
+ Must be able to climb, stand, stoop, bend, stretch, crouch and work in tiring and uncomfortable positions.

**Knowledge & Skills**
+ Should have experience with civil or commercial aviation forms, records, tech manuals, and a strong working knowledge of FAR's 43 and 91.
+ Possess good communication skills; be adaptable, diversified and capable of troubleshooting entire aircraft system.
+ Working knowledge of electrical, electronic, mechanical and associated systems principles to complete properly all probable work tasks.
+ Knowledge of Quality Control, Production and Supply procedures required to perform job assignment.
+ Able to determine when faulty systems or assemblies can be corrected through repair of replacement of new parts and the nature and extent of repair required.
+ Must have skill in reading, applying and interpreting technical data.
