**Essential requirements**
+ Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
+ Minimum 4 years of experience within the process industries, including process design, operations, simulation, consulting, or technical support.
+ **Fluent German and English** , both written and verbal.
+ Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues in a structured and methodical manner.
+ Ability to work independently, prioritize effectively, and manage multiple activities in a dynamic environment.
+ Willingness to travel regularly across Germany and the wider EMEA region.

**Job Title:** Senior Sales Manager
**Location:** Frankfurt - Hybrid
**The job**
The Senior Sales Manager will lead a team of Strategic Account Managers to drive strategic growth and grow customer relationships across Aveva's key strategic accounts in the CEE region. The role requires strong leadership, commercial acumen, and the ability to influence both customers and internal teams.
You will be responsible for driving revenue growth and long-term partnerships across AVEVA's most critical and high-value customers in CEE and for expanding AVEVA's market presence, deepening customer relationships and expanding the Aveva footprint within the existent customer base, leading complex, high-value sales engagements, identifying new business opportunities, and delivering revenue targets through effective coaching, territory planning, and cross-functional collaboration.
This role requires a proactive leader with strong industry insight, sales expertise, and the ability to navigate complex B2B environments. With regular regional travel (approx. 30-40% PA), you'll play a pivotal role in shaping AVEVA's success in key European markets.
**Key responsibilities**
+ Directly manage, coach and develop a team of varied Account Managers covering strategic accounts in the assigned territory to drive account expansion through upsell, cross-sell, and new business opportunities
+ Promote AVEVA software products and services
+ Develop and manage the account team through frequent and direct engagement of the team, individually and collectively, with a strong emphasis on establishing expectations and priorities to ensure individual and team success.
+ Assist Account Managers with the development of Strategic Account Plans and especially a healthy and consistent pipeline.
+ Coach individual Account Managers on effective use of CRM, sales processes, pipeline health, and forecasting.
+ Engage directly with customers. Build and maintain trusted relationships with decision-makers and act as executive sponsor for key customer relationships.
+ Lead executive business reviews and strategic planning sessions with customers.
+ Working with the VP of the Market and the Director of Marketing, coordinate marketing and business development activities for the region such as industry events and regional seminars, guaranteeing its positive impact in the Sales results.
+ Expedite resolution of key customer complaints and problems. Assure that customers are provided/satisfied with complex technical application assistance.
+ Leverage AVEVA partner ecosystem to scale growth
+ Maintain accurate sales forecasts, pipeline, and business data. Report on account performance, deal progress, and growth opportunities
+ Develop and maintain a sufficient knowledge of AVEVA's core industries (Utilities, Oil & Gas, Power, Chemicals, Metals & Mining, Pharma and Life Sciences) and stay current with their trends and issues to effectively align and apply AVEVA's technologies to meet customer's business goals.
+ Maintain personal knowledge and skill levels with AVEVA products and sales support applications according to guidelines established by AVEVA through recurrent annual training within the Company or designated external resources.
+ Be a leader by example applying the expected and proper activity, behaviour, common sense and discipline in all dimensions of the work.
+ Practice financial management consistent with company guidelines managing budgets using company systems, and tools in a timely manner.
**Essential requirements**
+ Industry knowledge pertinent to the territory (e.g. in one or more industries: Utilities, Oil & Gas, Chemicals, Metals & Mining, Paper, Life Sciences)
+ Significant direct sales experience - specifically within complex, B2B Enterprise Software.
+ Significant sales management experience in DACH/CEE markets
+ Excellent leadership, coaching and team management skills
+ Familiarity with Salesforce and the MEDDPICC sales framework.
+ Fluent in English, with excellent written and verbal communication skills and the local language (German) to a minimum level of C1.

**Role Purpose**
As the Academic Success Manager, you will focus on building relationships within the academic community from universities, to colleges, to high schools and vocational schools.
You will be responsible for establishing and managing strategic relationships with key academic partnership stakeholders, partner management teams, and will work with our world-class product and engineering teams to implement the best and most innovative solutions within the academia.
The candidate person is a self-starter with experience working with product and engineering teams and is passionate about finding solutions for how AVEVA can work with a range of partners and strengthen our relationship with the academic community in order to become an influencer in this market.
You will be expected to work with leading educational institutions to create lasting partnerships that make AVEVA's portfolio easily accessible and commercially affordable.
**Skills & Qualifications**
+ Build and foster relationships with academic institutions by presenting AVEVA's offerings and endorse them by embedding our software into the university's curriculums
+ Demonstrating the ability to improve existing engagements with the academia by driving adoption of existing and new AVEVA solutions
+ Gathering and researching information to solve academia inquiries by using internal tools and escalation within teams as necessary
+ Focus on growing the region both from a partnership point of view (# of participating institutions), and from an adoption point of view (# of leverage core products, strategic adoption of cloud)
+ Collaborate with internal stakeholders to drive program progress against goals and objectives by establishing logistics, like marketing materials, participation in, or sponsorship of related events
+ Facilitates the flow of information between everyone involved in the advancement of the academic program and create alignment around priorities
+ Bring forward ideas and execution plans from an educational onboarding perspective across legal, commercial, pricing and licensing dimensions such that teachers and students alike can get started quickly and learn easily
+ Experience defining, developing and leading complex projects in a fast-paced, changing environment
+ Time management, facilitation, and organizational skills
+ Experience in communicating with cross functional international teams
+ Academic background or experience working with the academic community
**Knowledge & Experience Required**
+ You will have 3-5 experience in the industrial software world
+ You will have significant experience with engineering solutions within the industrial marketplace,
+ You will be a self-starter, optimising and enhancing the universities education programs/curriculum by familiarizing them with our solutions
+ You will be able to manage and provide direction and be able to work effectively with our academic partners.
+ You will have sound commercial and business development skills to define and quantify a suitable delivery strategy
+ You will have a good understanding of the scope of the current products and service offerings from AVEVA
+ You will have a deep knowledge of the business processes, information flow and management practices for the marketplace.
