Job Title: Business Intelligence Analyst with MySQL MUST
Location: San Jose, CA 95113
Duration: 6+ Months
Interview: INPERSON MUST (Ideally looking for LOCAL CANDIDATES ONLY)
Description:
The ideal candidate for this position must have deep knowledge in
Enterprise Data Warehousing, strong SQL querying and ETL skills. This
person will work closely with the engineering teams as well as the
business community. This analyst will have exceptional communication
skills, as they will be interacting with both technical and business
oriented staff.
Responsibilities:
1. Provide
decision-support to analysts, managers and executives by creating
institutional reports.
2. Assist data engineering team in verifying correctness and completeness of the data model, data relationships, mappings and definitions for the functional business area.
3. Identify data quality issues and their root causes. Propose fixes and design data audits to ensure against problem recurrence.
Requirements:
1. 2-3 years working as
an analyst in an enterprise, data-driven environment.
2. Excellent SQL skills; comfortable using a data access tool such as Toad.
3. Excel wizardry is a requirement.
4. MySQL knowledge is a requirement.
5. Experience within an ELT (or ETL) based data migration paradigm is a requirement.
7. Familiar with dimensional data modeling a big plus.
An ideal
candidate should be:

3. Familiar with the identification and resolution of data quality issues.
4. Extremely eager to take responsibility and to deliver results.
5. Have the appetite for ambiguity and likes to drive to resolution.
