Material Engineer - GERMANY

Job Description:

To effectively coordinate Material engineering, Corrosion study activities of the EPC project, during the detail design and follow up of Procurement and Construction support phases.

1. To define the material selection report for the project in coordination with Process dept.
2. To develop the Piping Technical specification and Material requisitions according to project indication. Main documents to be provided are:
   • Material Requisitions
   • Supply specification (including RDDS)
   • Technical Specification
   • Mechanical Data Sheet
   • Inspection Data Sheet (IDS)
   • Technical Bid Evaluations
3. To check the correct uploading of piping classes in the 3D model archive, according to Project 3D Model Procedure.
4. To cooperate with Piping PSL during piping MTO issue.
5. To attend and coordinate the Supply KOM and proceed with relevant vendors follow up.
6. To cooperate with other disciplines for the comment and follow up of material/painting/coating related issues.
7. To perform the Vendor follow-up technical support, if required by other disciplines.
8. To ensure the Client follow-up technical support, if required by PSL.
9. To provide technical support during bidding phase.

Material Engineer with a minimum stay of 3 years in the role being able to preside individually the full life cycle of an EPC project. Consolidate knowledge of both theoretical and practical aspects of Material Engineering and accurate competences of techniques and tools. Good communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills, planning and organizing ability, critical thinking and problem-solving skills, leadership qualities and efficient team management skills, adaptability and stress tolerance.

Note: Able to read, write, and speak in English.

Laurea Magistrale and/or Specialistica (as well Chartered Engineer, A-levels + 5 years study) or Laurea Triennale (as well Higher National Diploma HND or Certificate HNC, A-levels + 3 years’ study, BTS/DUT, or equivalent). Diploma.

Work Conditions: Head Engineering Office or on Site if required. Other Specific Requirements: Familiarity with Company Tools, Procedures, and Process (Construction Management Systems, Document Management System, Project Control Standards, etc.)
