Your new role

As our new Pipeline Engineer (m/w/d), you will be part of a team of process and other discipline engineers located in Germany and abroad. That tackle lots of interesting, challenging and varied projects within the Energy sector and participating in the transition to greener fuels such as Hydrogen, methanol and ammonia as well as CO2 storage and transport within CCUS projects. We are a busy and energetic team with a positive mindset always looking for the next challenge. We work both with early phase studies (Feasibility, Concept and FEED) but also on detailed design projects, mainly for onshore facilities within Hydrogen and Power to X technologies, Gas and LNG and projects within CO2 transport and storage. Our focus as Ramboll Germany is on the local market but we have projects within Denmark and Europe as well as other parts of the world..

Your key responsibilities will be:

  • Participate in multidiscipline project teams in all execution phases from early development to construction phase within sustainable energy projects
  • Design of pipeline systems, considering factors such as route optimization, hydraulic analysis and environmental impact.
  • Select appropriate materials, coatings, and corrosion protection measures for pipeline construction to maximize longevity and safety.
  • CAPEX Cost Engineering and Supplier Management
  • Ensure compliance with local, national, and international codes, standards, and regulations governing pipeline construction and operation.
  • Preparation of process related documentation for Concept or FEED studies
  • Participation in HAZOP/HAZID Studies
  • Possibility to be involved in site supervision and assistance in commissioning and start-up (FAT / SAT)

About you

These include:

  • B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering or related field
  • Approx. 4-7 years of experience within pipeline engineering, including design, construction, and integrity management optimally with a focus on the Power-to-X related sector or CCUS
  • Solid knowledge of pipeline design codes and industry standards
  • Strong project management skills and the ability to work effectively in a team.
  • Experience within electrolysis and synthesis processes for e.g. Hydrogen, methanol and ammonia or liquid CO2 will be highly appreciated
  • Excellent English skills since this is our corporate language. German language is required.
