Summary:
At SAP, we are bringing together state-of-the-art AI technology with our extensive industry-specific data and deep process knowledge to create innovative AI capabilities across SAP products & services. Large Language Models (LLMs) hold immense potential to change the way we work and develop products. They are reshaping the landscape of Machine Learning across various domains. However, deploying Large Language Models (LLM) for business applications presents challenges due to their lack of knowledge about structured and unstructured assets involving business data models, business process metadata and documentation, which slows the development progress. It is SAP's mission to overcome this challenge within the realm of Business AI. Our goal is to provide SAP Knowledge Graph as the key differentiator to address LLM challenges like hallucination and compliance, as well as enable the development of the foundation models on structured data to deliver distinctive generative AI solutions to our customers.
For our growing team we are looking for a Data Science Manager (f/m/) based in Walldorf or Berlin taking on the following responsibilities:
+ Lead the team responsible for content development and enrichment of SAP Knowledge Graph
+ Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, stakeholders, and partners, understanding their requirements and driving customer-centric high-value Knowledge Graph (KG) and AI solutions.
+ Support hiring, onboarding and performance management of teams fostering collaboration, innovation and deliver high-impact work.
+ Lead and mentor multiple teams across locations comprising data scientists, cloud, data and knowledge engineers and research scientists, including regular alignment with the Chief Expert of Knowledge Graphs and Semantic Technologies.
+ Communicate effectively the team's progress, challenges, and strategic insights to stakeholders.
+ Drive design, development, and deployment of knowledge graph solutions, ensuring alignment with SAP business objectives.
**What you bring**
+ Bachelors or Master's degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Mathematics, Physics, or other relevant disciplines; PhD degree is a plus but not mandatory.
+ 10 years of related industry experience with a deep understanding of enterprise business processes and systems.
+ Vast experience in AI and KG projects with proven technical skills in the RDF knowledge graph stack
+ Experience in people management, with a demonstrated ability to lead and develop high-performing AI and multi-disciplinary teams.
+ Understanding of SAP data, solutions and technologies, and an ability to integrate AI capabilities with SAP applications. Extensive experience with structured data and relevant use cases.
+ Proven track record of exemplary leadership and strategic mindset, complemented by superior organizational abilities. 
+ Strong drive to deliver value to internal and external customers, with a history of understanding customer needs and translating to technical capabilities.
+ Experience in driving development, evaluation and implementation of KG-based solutions is highly desirable.
+ Proven track record of spearheading complex AI projects, with a demonstrable understanding of how to align technical teams and business goals.
+ Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to present complex information clearly and persuasively and to effectively collaborate with stakeholders at all levels of the organizatio

Requirements

    •Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure), especially their ML and data engineering services;

    • Advanced SQL skills and experience building/managing data pipelines with Airflow or similar tools;

    • English level B2 or higher. 

    Preferred Qualifications (Optional):

**Qualifications**

+ 5+ years direct Clinical Data Management experience in CRO or pharmaceuticals industry , including 3+ years as a CDM project lead; or equivalent combination of education, training and experience
+ Previous experience and proven competence in managing delivery of multiple projects through full DM life-cycle (several studies/programmes)
+ Previous experience of handling customer negotiations
+ Knowledge of Good Clinical Practices and relevant regulatory guidelines

Sie werden die erste Anlaufstelle für komplexe Kundenanfragen sein und bei der Lösung von Problemen unterstützen. Zu Ihren Hauptaufgaben gehören die Überwachung der Teamleistung, die Sicherstellung der Einhaltung von Service-Level-Agreements (SLAs) und die Durchführung von regelmäßigen Coachings und Feedback-Gesprächen mit Ihren Teammitgliedern. Sie identifizieren Schulungsbedarfe und entwickeln entsprechende Trainingsmaßnahmen. Die Analyse von Kundendaten und Feedback zur Identifizierung von Verbesserungspotenzialen im Serviceprozess gehört ebenso zu Ihren Aufgaben wie die Erstellung von Reports zur Teamleistung. Sie verfügen über Erfahrung im Kundenservice und idealerweise erste Erfahrungen in einer Teamleitungsfunktion.
