As a Senior Account Manager in our Public Sector team, you will have the exciting opportunity to help support the growth and shape the future of a group of cloud technologies at Amazon Web Services.
You will be responsible for supporting and managing a dedicated Public Sector territory by identifying demand for the AWS services in both new and existing Government customers in Germany. Your goal will be to support the AWS business by managing inbound leads, conducting outbound calls, opportunity discovery, account management, pipeline maturation and closing.
You possess both a business and technical background that enables you to engage an account at the CxO level as well as with software developers and IT architects. You are a self-starter able to plan, develop and execute a territory plan for German Government (Federal, State and Local).
This position is based in Berlin, Munich, Düsseldorf or Frankfurt in Germany.
Key job responsibilities
Responsibilities:
- Propose and execute against account plans for greenfield customers
- Manage key customer relationships, prospecting, and pipeline for assigned customers
- Create and articulate compelling value propositions around AWS services for different audiences, including C-suite stakeholders
- Collaborate with AWS Partners, Marketing, Business Development and other functions in assigned territory
- Present regular and accurate reports for management review
- Ensure a positive customer experience
- Provide feedback and suggestions for program improvement on a regular basis
- Develop and execute sales strategies, account plans, and processes to drive customer adoption and meet revenue goals for a portfolio of state and local government customers
- Build relationships with key decision-makers and influencers, including C-suite executives, to facilitate all stages of the sales process
- Manage the full sales cycle, including scoping, creating, and driving proposals, business cases, and responses to customer requirements
- Work closely with internal technical and professional teams, as well as external partners, to provide the best business solutions for customers
- Negotiate and close legal agreements and contracts
- Maintain knowledge of AWS services and capabilities, and relate them to customers challenges
- Stay up-to-date on new service developments and changes
- Represent the company and manage all aspects of the customer relationship, ensuring effective communication, implementation, and execution of objectives
- Participate in the development and negotiation of larger-scale contracts and agreements
- Provide subject matter expertise and share professional knowledge with internal and external stakeholders
- Coach and provide feedback to peers to support career development and talent management

Basic Qualifications
